Jessica Judd, M.S.
ABOUT
Hey there - I'm Jess & I'm so glad you're here! I'm a masters-level therapist residing in Tampa, FL with my husband and our two fur babies. I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA and love football, coffee, true crime podcasts, reading, and being near water.

EDUCATION
I received my Bachelor or Arts Degree in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2016. I then went on to obtain my Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, where I graduated with distinction in 2020.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
I have serviced the mental health field for 10 years, working in a variety of settings including: psychiatric hospitals, schools, community mental health agencies, prisons, trauma level II hospitals, and now private practice! I've also completed a practicum and internship, under the wing of some of the best mental health professionals I've ever personally known! I've worked with all populations: ranging in ages, ethnicities, sexual identities, religions, and socioeconomic statuses.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Now that the "official" stuff is out of the way - let's talk about what has led me to be so passionate about this field! I've struggled with mental health since I was 14 years old, especially with Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Depression, and a particular Phobia that was severely impacting my daily life. I've been on both sides of the spectrum when it comes to psychiatric hospitals and mental health services, as well as seen my fair share of therapists who ranged from phenomenal to dehumanizing. When I was at my lowest - I was desperately searching for someone to guide me through the healing process. After trial and error, I found a mental health professional that "finally fit" me and we were well on our way to tackling my struggles. I remember thinking how someday, I wanted to be that helping hand for others.
